“Our newly formed JV wins several projects across Crossrail’s £15bn station upgrade programme”

Bam Ferrovial Kier (BFK) JV

The Background:

Bam Ferrovial Kier (BFK) JV came together as a consortium to bid for several projects in the £15bn Crossrail Network Improvement Programme across London. The programme included station construction, tunnel portals and shaft construction, marine transportation, tunneling works, system-wide integration and traction power bids.

The Challenge:

As this was the first time BFK had come together, one of the most important tasks for Bid Pro Quo was to align the systems, processes and cultures of the partnering companies. The project involved working with large teams of supply chain contractors, and across multi-disciplinary teams as well as providing strategy facilitation.

The Solution:

BPQ became a core part of the BFK team, and it was flexible in order to respond to the team’s needs. Over several years, BPQ worked on several bids for BFK on a number of levels to cover all aspects of bid management including authoring, editing, reviewing, strategy, and presenting submissions for the programme. We were integral to the success of BFK winning a number of key bids in the programme.

The Outcome:

With our support, BFK won three Crossrail projects worth more than £1.5 billion – a significant level of work. Building on the BFK JV experience they’d had with BPQ, BAM Nuttall and Kier joint ventured on the smaller packages which they also won.
